FSK Conference 2024 - Lecture by Matthias Henning
We would like to thank the FSK Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane e.V. for the exciting program of the 23rd International FSK Conference “Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes 2024”.
Matthias Henning, Managing Director of General Industries Deutschland, gave a presentation on the challenges of recycling PE foams. In addition to the basics of recycling (ISO definition and EU Green Deal), e.g. the definitions of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycling), PIR (Post-Industrial Recycling) and the PPWR (Plastic Packaging Waste Regulation), Mr. Henning spoke about the work of GID, in particular about the recycling process of decentralized compacting and centralized granulation.
